Exposing the #HumanTrafficking problem has been successful!

Theres so much awareness around it now đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

Now we can move into solutions, but most of us don’t know what that looks like, including myself. But, I’m taking time to research & learn.

Here are some ideas: Thread 👇
The average person can make a huge difference by doing small things:

Search for your local Anti-Human Trafficking Organization and offer to donate resources such as used or new clothes, toothbrushes, toiletries, financial contributions, etc..

Ask them what they need.
Get vocal on social media on the topic of SOLUTIONS for survivors and victims. Post links for resources on your own pages & also under posts where more eyes will see it. You might inspire a victim to seek help, and you’ll definitely bring awareness to others to assist.
Memetic warfare is effective! Find or create memes that provide Solutions and that list actual resources. Remember, this is about moving on from Exposing Human Trafficking to the next phase of Action for advocates & Solutions for victims.

(Meme makers, your help is needed here)
Think about your skill set and offer your talents to helping survivors. Whether you volunteer or find a job, all types of skills are needed that can align with the goal of helping survivors. Example-Are you a construction worker? Look for a job building houses for victims.
Find Human Trafficking Survivors and/or Anti-Human Trafficking Advocates/Groups/Organizations who you align with and amplify their voices and share their content. They are under attack and need our support.

Thank you @elizableu for your service 🙏
And, a tip we need to really consider: Keep the conversations anti-political for the largest reach. Keep the focus on helping these children, these men and women escape, recover and rebuild.
Use Hashtags wisely. Again, avoid narrowing your reach if you’re making a post giving resources and solutions.

Of course, Hashtags for certain groups/movements can be helpful, in which case I recommend retweeting with those hashtags rather that including them in the core post.
