Fascinating that the ‘X’ code will be used on registers to denote students who are absent due to ‘pupil’s travel to or attendance at school would conflict with: guidance relating to the incidence or transmission of coronavirus’ - some thoughts: 1/n

1) How do we ensure that we support students with the ‘travel to’ section if there are real concerns over the use of public transport for potentially vulnerable students?
2) Will schools be requiring evidence of tests eg screenshots of results? 2/n

3) X codes do not affect attendance results for the school - but how will outside authorities monitor the use of them?
4) Will attendance policies be including the need for notes and tracking to monitor total number of days off for testing/self isolating? 3/n
