I'm deeply angry. Like all of you, I watched in horror as the best candidate qualified to lead right now, Bernie Sanders, was crushed by the Dem establishment.

Now, I go back and forth daily on whether to vote for Biden.

Because as we know, he's a complete trainwreck.
I thought about this extensively, and sincerely, I'm not asking anybody to agree with me, but here's where I am:

Dems are weak and ineffectual, but with every race, ie Cory Bush, Jamal Bowman, Rashida Tlaib, AOC, and the list goes on, bold progressives are taking over the party.
So for me, voting for president is just a piece of the puzzle, it's one thing in a long list of goals. And after careful consideration, the person I think we can chip away at, fight most effectively is Joe Biden.

Clearly, there are a long list of reasons Trump is horrific.
Right now, we're seeing Trump trying to dismantle the Post office, causing countless deaths by mishandling the pandemic, rolling back countless environmental regulations, arresting Americans in the middle of the night, and creating more fascists.

But the scariest thing...
...is what Trump inspires.

Which strangely, brings me back to Bernie. Bernie inspired, even though he didn't win, a political revolution. And I'll always truly love him for that. Bernie changed our country for the better for decades to come.

Trump is also changing our country.
It's not just the 4 or 8 years Trump will be in office, it's what he emboldens, it's what he inspires. I agree with Bernie and Chomsky, America can't handle 4 more years of this. It just can't.

So it's with a heavy heart that I'll vote for Biden.

But that's just the beginning.
It's not who we're voting for this time, it's who we want to fight. That's the best argument I can make at this point.

Do we want to fight Trump, or do we want to fight Biden? And I think with more progressives winning seats, and fighting corporate Dems, it's our best shot.
That's it. My heart hurts, my head hurts, and I need a break.

I'll be back in a month, give or take. But I didn't feel I could walk away without saying this. I am incredibly frightened for this country. More so than I've ever been in my life.

I wish you all love and peace. ✊
