If leaders ask you to send your kids to school, ask them why 7 months in, they have failed to control the spread of a virus that has killed thousands of our people; a virus whose long term health effects are still being studied; a virus that other countries have actually stopped.

Ask them why their focus has shifted to “living with it” or “it is what it is” rather than stepping up and doing everything needed to protect us. Ask them why they can get tested every day when we have to wait for days to weeks to get results.

Ask them why 160,000+ deaths in 7 months has turned into a statistic they try to downplay by manipulating data. Ask them why large corporations can form bubbles to protect themselves when our frontline workers can’t even get consistent PPE.

Ask them why sports leagues are pushing full steam ahead as we stay up at night worried about our kids. Ask them why we stayed home and they didn’t set up the public health systems that we needed to detect new outbreaks before they happened.

Ask them.
