This thread celebrates the legacy of Lt. Manoj Kumar Pandey, Param Vir Chakra(Posthumous). I won't share the story of his finest hour during the Kargil war. rather I'll be sharing some of his quotes with you all, that inspired me throughout my life (yes, he was a writer too).
Lemme first tell you in brief about him. Lt Pandey, hailing from UP, was a 90th course passout from the National Defence Academy and was commissioned into the 1st battalion, 11 Gorkha Rifles. He immortalised himself on 3rd July 1999 at a youthful age of 24.
Now lemme take you straight to the messages he engraved into the heart of this nation for eternity.

2. In his SSB, the interviewer asked him, "Why do you want to join the Army?" He immediately replied, "I want to win the Param Vir Chakra."
Yes, you read it right. His goal throughout his life, was to win the PVC, such was his dedication to this nation we call 'Bharat'.

Now this last quote is really special, I was just awestruck when I read this for the first time.

I was just silent when I read this, never ever in my life, a line had hit me this hard.
