Let’s talk about Jesus for a minute.

While we assign a number of motives and styles to Jesus ministry (Justice, Love, Kindness, Political, Resistance to social norms etc.).....
Jesus Himself, said His message was “Repent” (use your mind in a new way) because the Kingdom of God (The realm and Person of God) is present among us.
Most of what we think was His motive was actually the result of His motive.
Jesus was immensely compassionate towards those who were considered the untouchables and immoral people of His time. He moved towards them with words of love and acts of healing and actively resisted being given credit.
Jesus actively opposed those who claimed to know the most about God, yet were at the same time made much of themselves, and were judgmental and apathetic towards others
Many times people tried to make Jesus “known in the eyes of the public” He resisted what we would call fame and opted instead to retreat from public visibility
Jesus was clear that reality consisted of two realms and that His emphasis was on the Spiritual realm and showing how it entered and impacted the material realm
Jesus primary mode of ministry was to go where people are, give life, healing and compassion to the oppressed and then send them out to do the same, refusing to make Himself the only one who could bring words of life and healing to others
Jesus was paraded through town by those who wanted Him to fulfill their agenda. They wanted Him to assume political and public authority for their purposes and expectations. He walked away
Jesus was not a pacifist, He simply did not fight the battles that others wanted Him to fight. He fought for the reality that God is available to all mankind.
It is odd to me the things that we attribute to Jesus and things we justify in His name.

God is near and available to the needy. He wants to grant authority to normal everyday people to carry His Nature and Presence into the world.
