THREAD ON AGHORIS

First of all Aghori means "that is beyond terrible".

They mainly associate with Bhairava: Form of Shiva associated with death. Aghoris believe that Shiva is everything and everything is Shiva

Aghoris are type of sadhus or you may call a pandit with uncommon rituals and ways of worship.

They're never occult practitioners, they worship Lord Shiva and shakti. Shakti is mother form of goddess, which includes Maa Durga, Kali, kamakhya, Tara, Parvati, gouri.

It is believed among the Aghoris that Dattatreya (considered as a founding adi-guru) was an incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, all three united into one.

Aghori tradition also includes Tantric practices, Hinglaj Mata being their kuladevta. Cemeteries and cremation grounds are also considered holy for Aghori ascetics.

They do eat human flesh, but just once in life and that too from the funeral pyre, they don't kill someone to eat.

They clothe themselves with the shroud of a corpse or clothes left by the family of the dead, smear themselves with the ashes of corpses as a protection from diseases.

It is also believed by them that covering themselves with ashes give them the power to communicate with the dead. This way they can easily see what happens after the death of the people.

They believe that this accords them with spirituality and supernatural powers. If someone was a young person and vibrant in his life and somehow he died, they choose that type usually. They practice meditation on top of dead bodies.

Before you think then some evil type, let me correct you, they are really nice people.
Aghoris never ask for anything. They usually cultivate their own food to eat.

The aghoris are the most powerful weapon against the ghost or supernatural. They wander in funeral grounds all the day and night. Normally we don't go there even in daylight.

Whenever you ask an aghori to chant a death spell or some other spell which can harm anyone on some person, they just run away from there because they believe if they use their power for doing bad to someone then Shiva will punish them.

Aghoris are known for their practice of medicine. People often come to them in order to be treated for diseases, when western medicines fail them.

These patients believe that the Aghoris can treat them by transferring health to their bodies.
