My uncle called them “JPJ”, when he said “JPJ udah mansak” which means the crocs already passed by our longhouse. The river behind our longhouse is part of Batang Skrang River

Since the road is really bad after rains & only those Hilux can go through, so we walk and we always see this sign along the way. No harm ever happened but just don’t go in

Just for you information, not all longhouse are located near the river or big river like Rajang, Saribas, Baram. Some located near highway or main roads for better accessibility. And these days, running water are supply through pipes to all longhouses
