Texas schools are opening in the next 10 days. The positivity rate in Texas is 17%. Where I work, my classroom will have a minimum of 20 students in each class. Masks are encouraged—not mandatory. Teachers have been walking around everywhere during this prep week sans masks.

We were told in a meeting yesterday that “if a person tests positive, we will use a fogger to fumigate the room then the class will be able to re-enter the classroom after 30 minutes. We will not quarantine classes or close the school.”

According to the CDC rooms should be emptied of persons and then disinfected with wet disinfectant 24 hours after the room has been determined to be contaminated.

Teachers are not required to wear masks while lecturing if they are 6 feet away from the students.

Hand sanitizer use is to be “taught” to students but the district does not have enough for each classroom so teachers will have to share or provide their own because they want kids to use it when entering and exiting the classroom.

Basically many Texas teachers are going to get sick and die. @GovAbbott doesn’t care if we die because he will have proven his loyalty to the trump cult. So listen y’all, if you’re from Texas, I may not still be alive during the next gubenatorial election, so vote him out.
