What is currently missing from the narrative around border crossings is that what EVERYONE is asking the Government to do is to control their borders more effectively. The difference being - the left is calling for a safer border and the right is asking to make it more dangerous.

Safe/ legal routes is nothing more than regulating how people apply for asylum and making sure their journey is safe. If you open up those routes, you're less likely to have so many failures in the asylum system - because cases will have been heard before people are desperate.

This problem has been going on for years and years and years. EVERYONE is fed up. We've had this approach from Government and Parliament for years. Just do what needs to be done instead of longing the whole thing out.
