Mars base "Dome"

So today I am going to show you some details. The Mars base project called Dome qualified for the "shortlist" of the best projects submitted to the First Colony on Mars competition, organized as part of the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival.
We proposed the futuristic idea of a Martian base using shape memory materials. The concept uses the significant daily temperature amplitude on Mars, which reaches several dozen degrees.
Under the influence of temperature changes over the course of the day, the petal-shaped parts of the dome bend towards the center of the base, giving access to natural light and at the same time creating a dome that allows for additional space protected from radiation.
At night, the petals return to their place and become additional a layer that insulates the inside of the base against low temperatures at night.
On the inside of the petals there are flexible solar panels that provide energy, and the very movement of the petals causes the panels to self-clean from Martian dust.
One building can accommodate 50 people. There is a residential section - rooms and sanitary infrastructure, and a research section with a greenhouse, laboratories and a control center.
The dome formed by the petals protects the geological research zone against external conditions, especially radiation. This allows astronauts to use lighter suits and stay outside the base for longer than would be possible without such protection.
The buildings are designed in such a way that the further development of the base takes place by duplicating the base module.
And here you can find more details about this project.
