“Liverpool fans” moaning - a thread.
Sorry but I need to get a few things off my chest. Mainly the abuse being thrown on here towards FSG. If that’s you - shut it. And here’s why...
1) We’re in the middle of a global pandemic - match day revenue £0.
2) They aren’t shit owners, they’re sensible. If you had a brain & were a decent fan you’d know the difference.
3) £10m for Jamal Lewis - what a joke. Like £8m for Robbo? Actually that’s wrong because Stewart went the other way. Technically we got our current left back for free.
4) Anfield expansion. Further planned. Kirkby redevelopment.
5) Nike (at least you’ve given them a break over the new kit you won’t be wearing but don’t like & gone back to chastising the owners). We’ve gone from NB to Nike. Think about that in terms of size of brand & £.
6) Look how Klopp has ALWAYS operated as a manager. He isn’t chequebook. Never has been. Never will be. He gets the best out of players. He looks for lads he can develop. He gives youth a chance. Guess you’d rather we paid £50m for Kyle Walker though than developed Trent.
7) We’ve just won the league. We won other trophies too. Previous season we won the European Cup - what more do you want for Christ’s sake? This isn’t Championship Manager 1998 where you’ve gone to add manager on Man U and you’ve made them sign your back up goalie for £87m.
8) Stop moaning. Enjoy what we’ve won so far. What we’ll go on to win. Be proud of the club. Trust the manager. And leave FSG alone. Some of us remember Hicks & Gillett. We’ve got sensible owners now - shame there isn’t more sense from “Liverpool fans” on here. #LFC
