/ Supposedly Rhosus was carrying 2750 Tons of Ammonium Nitrate to Moz and diverted to Lebanon due to technical failure. But it’s movement during July-August 2013 indicate its was waiting 1 month in Greece and made its move from Greece intentionally heading to Beirut https://twitter.com/dimasadek/status/1291486030458224640
/ background: in 2013 the Syria war was raging, HA’s involvement and active support became obvious in 2012. However on Aug 21 2013 a chemical attack with Sarine took place in Goutta. That broke the Obama redlines and Russia lead a diplomatic effort with US to deflect retaliation
/ A deal that accommodated Obama’s administration was reached on Sept 14. The Russians promised to assist in dismantling and remove Syria’s chemical stockpile.
/ customs officer Joseph Skaff from drug and money laundering unit reports to the smuggling investigation dept the issue of the Rhosus cargo and highlights the risks. @DimaSadek reported on that. He died from a 3m fall in 2017
/ claims that customs DG did follow up and requested judges to act and no order or response were issued proved to be wrong and several judge orders (over next couple of years) were issued to authorise security forces to act. It was the Customs DG responsibility to seek removal
/ putting puzzle together and not wanting to speculate further it’s rational to consider that the presence for years of this cargo and now what seems to be regular subsequent deliveries out of it (est. remaining stock at 300 Tons) was probably linked to regional warfare.
/ The investigation must go into the status of and movements at Warehouse 12 and what was being stored in Warehouse 9. Why did no one implement judges orders. Cause of death in 2017 of customs officer who raised the flag in Feb/2014. What did Russians know about the shipment.
/ Was there a link between the stalling of smuggled military shipments to Syria during Aug 2013-Feb 2014 (also date supposed chemical weapons were removed to Russia) and the continued presence during that time of the AN cargo at Beirut port
