This is brilliantly researched and compiled work by Moulana Shibli Noumani and his student Sayed Suleman Nadvi. We need such critical thinking and leadership for reforming our madrasahs across country.

عرب اور اعراب کے معنی فصاحت اور زبان آوری کے ہیں۔ بعض کی رائے میں یہ عربہ ہے جس کے معنی دشت و صحرا ہیں۔

حنف کے معنی انحراف کے ہیں۔ عبرانی اور سریانی زبان میں حنیف کے معنی منافق اور کافر کے ہیں، ممکن ہے کہ بت پرستوں نے یہ لقب دیا ہو اور موحدین نے فخریہ قبول کر لیا ہو۔
