Yall know exactly why AEW gets all this criticism

They put themselves as the leaders of change in professional wrestling.

When no one asked them to

But here we are. They said "things are gonna change and things are gonna be different"
What changed?

Well

we got another MAJOR wrestling promotion on primetime television on the TNT network. But what change are they bringing? They wanna be seen as the alternative but honestly they're just the lite version of WWE without all the yes men, agents and eggshells
Yes they give people chances and opportunities to shine more than WWE did. Yes they are an alternative. But at the end of the day, they are still carrying that burden that they placed on their back. And all their followers from the "Elite Bullet Club" days are gonna follow them
Yes you're gonna get great wrestling. Yes some people are getting more shine. But when people have criticisms, they are gonna have legit ones and vile disgusting takes. And I feel like that's a shock to them because "hey we're not the bad guys. we're not the WWE. We're cool"
"we're doing thigns they dont do" but at the same time, you're still making mistakes. Just like WWE does.

"but we're different" that's cool but you're still making mistakes

"but we're gonna help the community" but how

"well for $49.99..."

and there's another mistake
The Heels thing? I get the idea. Sounds great on paper.

BUT

no one said that AEW had to be the place for women to come to. Women create discords for others women in wrestling so they feel safe. They didnt need to pay to be included. They just were
But i am a cis man so it's not really my place to speak on all the issues with that

but at the end of the day AEW is not some revolutionary company. It's a group of guys who left New Japan and ROH to form their own company on the premise of change and being different
Cool. But me as a wrestling who wants to be a wrestler and be a part of this industry, i'm not necessarily seeing it completely. I want them to do better. I love seeing new things. But if it's just more of the same with a different color, then what changed?
I love wrestling. And wrestling has changed a LOT In the past 10 years, mostly for the better but there's still a lot of bad out there that needs to be addressed. This stuff is not as bad as what's happened in the past, but I want to see them do better.
Just like I want to see WWE do better. I wanna see NJPW do better in some regards. Impact, ROH, Stardom, etc. Like i RT'd earlier, no company is perfect. But I, as a fan and someone who will hopefully be involved soon, and others want to see them do better. That is all.
Sorry for the long rant. I just really love wrestling
