Working on an archival doc in Avid. Trying to find stuff I need is making my brain hurt. Taking a page out of @fcpxpert1's book & creating a shadow #FCPX Library so I can more easily find stuff. Luckily the archive is well organized in folders on the Finder level. Bam! Keywords.
Just like that, my 2050 archival items are categorized by source, import date, the Avid bin they can be found in. Now to make some Smart Collections.
Want to easily see all the Stills in the Library from that one source? Me too.
What about all the footage from that one source from the 1990s? That might be helpful. Luckily our researchers put this sort of data in the file names which enables these sort of Smart Collections to be comprehensive.
