Dear pro-choicers,

I hope this will help you honestly understand my perspective on elective abortion (specifically via Planned Parenthood).

A thread.
1) Planned Parenthood positions itself in neighborhoods were disparity is deep.
2) Some people see that as altruistic.
3) I see that as opportunistic and victimizing. Here is why...
4) I see unborn humans as...well...humans, deserving of equal human rights.
5) If a family were facing disparity and an organization moved in offering, for a fee, to kill their born children to relieve their stress/burden; we would all be appalled.
6) I am even appalled by the system that removes children due to disparity. Families deserve so much more.
7) I see the offer to kill unborn offspring rather than provide resources and assistance as the same level of fleecing those in suffering/disparity.
8) I don't deny a woman's bodily autonomy. However, women rarely seek abortion due to just not wanting to be pregnant. There is usually a socio-economic reason.
9) Even if there is no socioeconomic reason, abortion makes the human forced into dependence by actions of other's the aggressor. It is villianizing the victim.
10) Abortion also tells women their healthy biology is a problem. It is degrading the very bodies we proclaim are glorious.
11) Abortion tells women they aren't capable of making good decisions and when the unexpected happens, rising to the occasion with the health and integrity of all humans in mind.
12) Abortion tells women society would rather they go to war with their bodies than be celebrated and lifted up during difficult times.
13) Abortion tells us that those who are less able, weaker, or less developed are less important and dispensable.
14) We don't have to agree, but I hope this helps you understand my position better.
Addendum: Abortion also tells women they're solely responsible for reproduction. Abortion tells men they have no place in their offspring's life unless they're given permission by the mother to be involved. For father's, abortion is like the kidnapping & execution of their child.
