Today, August 6th, marks the 75th anniversary of the dropping of an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. There is so much that can be said for this watershed moment of modern history, more than Twitter can really facilitate. But there is one important thing I can say here:
It is vital that people know and reflect on this moment of history. It is one of only two instances of atomic bombs being used in combat in history, and it's for the best that we all keep it that way.

And it is rapidly becoming just another moment in history.
Everyone who was alive for it, just like everyone who was alive to witness WWII, the Holocaust, the Yellow River flood, and so on, all of them are over the age of 80. Their first-hand accounts will soon be lost to time. It is vital for people to listen and learn.
