Mini Thread: I want to show you an example of why I feel the numbers don't quite reflect how Josh played vs Houston. This is the 4th Qtr, the Bills are down 3. This is 1st, 2nd, & 3rd down consecutively with the season on the line
1st & 10: Allen throws Duke Williams open to his back shoulder. Ball looks pretty good to me, Williams makes this catch if the corner doesn't swat his hands away last second
2nd & 10: Immediate pressure up the middle, jukes the rusher, rolls out, makes a subtle adjustment to buy more time with two rushers coming at him, & throws a perfect ball in bounds downfield to Brown. Unfortunately Brown wasn't paying attn to where the boundary was, incomplete
3rd & 10: Allen scans the field, finds John Brown and is able to get it to him 14 yds downfield despite the pocket collapsing and being unable to follow through his throwing motion
How do those 3 plays show up on the stat sheet? 1/3 for 14 yds. If you're basing his completion percentage of 52% in this game as the end all be all for his play then you're missing the forest for the trees
