Willian has agreed a three-year contract at Arsenal worth around ÂŁ100,000-a-week, sources have told ESPN, with the move expected to be announced later this month.
Sources have told ESPN that Lampard has failed to persuade the Chelsea hierarchy to sort a new contract for Willian and Mikel Arteta has stepped in to secure the Brazilian winger.
Arteta is set for a busy summer as he looks to shape his squad and Lille defender Gabriel is also in his sights. The 22-year-old is also keen on a move to Arsenal, though Everton and Napoli are interested too. The player will make a decision on his future at the weekend. ( @ESPN)

Former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka was among the most vocal in discussions between the players following Wednesday’s bombshell over the redundancies of 55 staff. ( @MailSport)
Xhaka's dismay was widely shared, with the job cull revealed just 4 months after most players were encouraged to agree pay cuts. They had believed that by accepting a 12.5% cut, reduced to 7.5% after qualifying for the Europa League, they would protect the jobs of staff.
Arsenal players intend to speak to the club to raise their concerns. And though there is an acceptance that there may be little they can do they are still determined to make their displeasure known. ( @MailSport)
Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been told by Arsenal that he will be made available for transfer this summer in order to raise funds for the club, although it would be Mikel Arteta’s preference that the young academy graduate stayed. ( @TelegraphSport)
Arsenal’s transfer plans were set when they won the FA Cup. The strategy that was in place on Sunday remains in place now. The redundancies aren't expected to alter that: targets have been identified & in some cases, negotiations have been under way for some time ( @TheAthleticUK)
Arsenal are planning to integrate Emile Smith Rowe into Mikel Arteta’s first team squad next season rather than sending the youngster out on loan. He will be among the first tranche of players to join pre-season training on August 14th. ( @jamesbenge)
The Arsenal hierarchy communicated their plans to Smith Rowe & his representatives in talks this week & indicated their expectation that he would play a prominent role in 2020/21. Arteta believes the best environment for him to develop will be at London Colney. ( @jamesbenge)
Perry Groves on Arsenal signing Willian: "Its a no-brainer, absolute no-brainer. Is he better than what Arsenal have got at the moment? I’d say yes. Yeah [Willian is better than Pepe]. Yes [Pepe has got great potential] but he’s not on Willian’s level of consistently delivering"
Groves: "He's [Willian] got a winning mentality, he will buy into the way that Arteta wants to play, his attitude is good, he plays in the Premier League, so the risk is low & reward is very, very high. Willian would make Arsenal a stronger team, it’s a no-brainer"
