Plenty of Arsenal news doing the rounds today (6th August) so I've done a quick thread to keep you guys up to date just in case you missed any Arsenal news today.

TELEGRAPH EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the brink of signing a new three-year contract with the club.

TELEGRAPH EXCLUSIVE 2/2: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will receive a significant pay rise and he has been told that there will be sufficient addition to the squad to challenge for top 4 next season.

Hector Bellerin is believed to be keen on the prospect of a new challenge, having spent nine years at the club after joining from Barcelona.

UPDATE from the reliable @FabrizioRomano on Willian and Coutinho to Arsenal:

•Arsenal are still pushing to sign Willian as a free agent. Talks on with the player and his agents about salary.

•Philippe Coutinho has been offered days ago but there’s nothing advanced right now.

Willian has agreed a three-year contract at Arsenal worth around £100,000-a-week, sources have told ESPN, with the move expected to be announced later this month.

Sources have told ESPN that Lampard has failed to persuade the Chelsea hierarchy to sort a new contract for Willian and Mikel Arteta has stepped in to secure the Brazilian winger.

Arteta is set for a busy summer as he looks to shape his squad and Lille defender Gabriel is also in his sights. The 22-year-old is also keen on a move to Arsenal, though Everton and Napoli are interested too. The player will make a decision on his future at the weekend. ( @ESPN)

Arsenal have been in contact with Gabriel Magalhães’ representatives today, and plan to win the race to sign him by making an offer soon. UOL say Lille would sell him for €20m, with some add-ons making the deal reach €30m. ( @UOLEsporte - Reliable)

Willian's transfer to Arsenal could be announced as early as next week. Willian will sign a 3 year deal. The negotiations were conducted by Kia Joorabchian. Edu, who has had a good relationship with Willian from his time at the Brazil team, approved the deal. ( @UOLEsporte)

Former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka was among the most vocal in discussions between the players following Wednesday’s bombshell over the redundancies of 55 staff. ( @MailSport)

Xhaka's dismay was widely shared, with the job cull revealed just 4 months after most players were encouraged to agree pay cuts. They had believed that by accepting a 12.5% cut, reduced to 7.5% after qualifying for the Europa League, they would protect the jobs of staff.

Arsenal players intend to speak to the club to raise their concerns. And though there is an acceptance that there may be little they can do they are still determined to make their displeasure known. ( @MailSport)

Groves: "He's [Willian] got a winning mentality, he will buy into the way that Arteta wants to play, his attitude is good, he plays in the Premier League, so the risk is low & reward is very, very high. Willian would make Arsenal a stronger team, it’s a no-brainer"
