Young men are facing a war against modernity

Society knows if it can catch a man when he is young & impressionable, it can subdue him before he becomes a threat

But society doesn't want you to rise from ashes

It wants you slowly burned alive

How do you avoid this?

/ THREAD /
Modernity subconsciously wires you to accept complacency & mediocrity

Complacency is the uncritical satisfaction of your "accomplishments"

Mediocrity is accepting that you are just "good enough."

How do you recognize when you are being rewired to accpet these ideologies?

👇
The strongest men I know are those who never settle

They are always pursuing the next avenue that brings them more satisfaction & strength

But modern society pushes that which provide instant gratification:

- Binge streaming
- Fast food
- 2 day shipping

Why are these harmful?
Deep within himself, every man knows he is called to pursue a mission that is greater than he is

Pursuing these missions brings:

- Freedom
- Growth
- Resilience

Those three hallmarks are best acquired when you do things that promote your primitive roots.

"My what?"
Every man is

- Strong
- Logical
- Aggressive

Those are his primitive roots and everything he does stems through those

But modernity has blasted those things with negative connotations

Even the men who pursue their roots are subject to complacency and mediocrity

Why is that?
Do you know what happens when a man is faced with hardship, trials & tribulations?

He meets a fork in the road

He can either overcome the fire

Or he can dwell within his own ashes.

The primitive man grows, overcomes

The modern man remains, he accepts what has happened to him
"It is what is is" is the mantra of the weak modern man.

His life is falling apart?

Doesn't matter, he gets home & cracks open a cold one

His woman doesn't want to romance him?

Doesn't matter, he can watch porn

He isn't happy with his life?

Doesn't matter.

See the trend?
"It is what it is" means you have settled.

Strong men never settle, remember?

Modernity is rigged in such way that it provides instant relief to hardship

You don't have to pursue long lasting change

Because so many immediate pick-me-ups exist.
If a man was hungry, he used to have to hunt and scavenge for food

If a man wanted to have sex, he used to have to marry the woman he loves

If a man wanted to become a better man, he used to have to let other men tell him the shit he doesn't want to hear.

That last one...
That last one is where a lot of our problems come from

You young men don't have to engage with people who challenge you and force you to grow

Because there are no more social demands for your growth

There are hardly any demands for you to actually be a man.
And that's why during your 20s you're coerced into wasting your time on:

- Partying
- Sex
- Drugs
- Video games

Instead of on

- Brotherhood
- Meaningful relationships
- Long term fulfillment
- Actual real life adventure

There is ALWAYS an easier alternative...
And those easier alternatives are constantly handed to you on a sliver - no, golden - platter

You don't need to pursue bigger and better for your life

Why would you when instant gratification is so enticing?

To you young men:

When will you break the chains of modernity?
"I don't know how to break the chains"

You start off small

You stop indulging instant satisfaction

You must start pursuing the long term gain, not this quick & easy bullshit that puts you in an early & comfortable grave.

You are so much greater than complacency and mediocrity
Your masculine nature has everything inside of your very being that has coded you for:

- Conquest
- Competition
- Legacy building

Everything you need is already inside of you.

The choice to rise from the ashes of modernity is yours

And it always has been.

Will you rise?
Never settle

Never be comfortable

Never accept short term gain.

Never allow society to convince you that "it is what it is" is the mantra of successful living

Acceptance of things you CAN control is weakness.

And God forbid a man is weak

God forbid he is "modern."
Wrapping up here, I leave you with this:

The minute you tell yourself "it is what it is" is the minute you accept defeat.

Reframe the mentality:

"I can do better. I must become better."

Rise, David

Rise from the ashes that hold you captive.

See you on the other side.
