Let me talk about Azad Kashmir. Firstly most Azad Kashmiris prefer to stay with Pakistan. Same goes for Gilgit. My family and countless other families fought for this merger. This will never change. Second, Azad Kashmir has Koshur, Pahari and different ethnicities there.

Kashmir is a nationality. It has different ethnic groups like how Dards and Gujjars are in IOK Azad Kashmir also has mixed groups from way before. And outsiders aren’t allowed to buy property in Azad Kashmir. They can only visit. Other Koshurs migrated to Sindh and Punjab.

My relatives are all over Pakistan but we smartly kept our documents from our old properties in both Jammu and Kashmir. Third, Azad Kashmiris are very tough, both guys and girls, and they all get very good training and education. Only a small minority want independence.

It’s important if you have never been there and aren’t even from there that you do not speak on behalf of Azad Kashmiris. Even if my family are mahajirs from IOK to Pakistan and Azad Kashmir I can’t speak for IOK people. I can only stand on the sidelines and offer my support.
