i'm going through mail from people incarcerated in Arizona prisons today - this man wrote me a 20 page letter front and back about the unsanitary conditions and lack of care for COVID patients: "Sorry so sloppy been writing 16 hours straight - tired"
"Officers hand out food with no gloves. Some don't wear masks and cough on us. We aren't getting free soap anymore. It's hard to keep my living area clean."
From Florence: "The housing unit that's being used for quarantine does not have separate ventilation to prevent the virus from spreading to other inmates"

Florence: "Dying inmates were thrown into ambulances to die in off-site community health care facilities. Inmates who weren't sick enough for transport got thrown in over-crowded detention cells. The really sick ones then, days later, got the one way trip to die in the hospital"
