Let’s start with Weidman vs Rockhold. This should be pretty easy to understand.
This was Weidman’s first loss, since the fight he is 1-4 with all 4 losses by KO. There’s a real argument that Herb’s late stoppage ruined Chris’ career.

Next we’ve got Murtazaliev vs Dolloway, in my opinion Herb’s most criminal moment.
Herb even tells Dolloway to fight back but then allows Murtazaliev to wail away on the defenceless Dolloway. At the end of the round it legitimately looks like Dolloway might be dead.

Lauzon vs Gomi is a perfect example of Herb’s cluelessness & indecisiveness.
Joe decides that he is done hitting Gomi as he is clearly not intelligently defending himself. Herb doesn’t even stop the fight there when Gomi clearly is out of it but waits until Joe walks back.

A very recent example of Herb messing up, Boser vs Pessoa.
Pessoa is hit with a knuckle to the eye and crumbles to the ground in a shell. At that point the fight should be over, but not in Herb’s mind. Herb waits until Boser lands 10 big swinging shots on Pessoa.

Up next we have Meerschaert vs Giles.
Herb misses a clear tap that even Jon Anik who is outside of the cage saw. He takes several seconds to realise that Giles might be out, checks his hand but still isn’t convinced. It’s only when Gerald lets go of the choke that Herb realises.

Onto another choke that Herb had no clue about, Miller vs Guida.
Guida pretty clearly goes out but Herb has to lift up and drop his COMPLETELY LIMP arm THREE times before he realises Guida is out.

And ANOTHER choke that Herb uses to display his cluelessness, Jenkins vs Karakhanyan.
Jenkins clearly goes out, Herb takes his time before checking. Has to check MULTIPLE times and is screamed at MULTIPLE times by Karakhanyan before he is convinced Jenkins is out.

A personal favourite finish of mine, Price vs Vick.
To anyone not named Stevie Wonder (or Herb Dean), Vick is clearly OUT as soon as the upkick lands.
But no Herb forces Vick to eat another 5 punches while completely unconscious before stopping it.

Another fight involving Niko Price, this time against Randy Brown.
This one is odd so slightly more understandable. But Brown is obviously out after the first (or second) punch landed, Herb has no clue about this though and let’s Niko land multiple more shots.

A great fight that was overshadowed by a horrible stoppage, Herbert vs Trinaldo.
Herbert is dropped and hits his head hard, is completely stationary with Trinaldo stood over him for 4 seconds. But again Herb forces Trinaldo to land another 4 big shots before he stops the fight.

There are SO many more examples of Herb not doing his job. And they aren’t just limited to bad stoppages.
Herb is absolutely awful for enforcing the rules. Cormier’s eye gouging against Miocic, Conor’s antics vs Khabib etc.
