I said this to a journalist on a phone call yesterday and I hadn't even seen this. You know why I know? Because I'm disabled spent cumulatively years in hospital and witnessed this happen to people of various ages and had it happen to me (not a senior now and wasn't then). https://twitter.com/ShirleeSharkey/status/1291392433733939200
For real I literally just said this in a phone call yesterday. Don't want to tag the person but honestly - I knew this. We all knew this. Crips have known this for decades. You all need to stop acting like you are 'discovering' new land.
Here's how it goes: Does your current housing meet your needs?
No?
Do you have someone other than us who can fix that for you?
No?
OK well we looked and it was hard so easier to move to a nursing home.
"The study found that new long-term care residents who could have remained at home with supports were more likely to be from rural areas and to live alone."

Yep I knew this too.
Live alone is the big one.
I saw the rural play out when I was at GF Strong.
