It can always be justifiable to take hits, and one can easily talk themselves into taking point-hits. Without difficulty, you can convince yourself it is a good idea to take hits, when their current player has seriously been bad in recent weeks and you are eager to get them out.

For any hits you need to weigh up all the pros and cons of doing those transfers and contemplate if it is really necessary to do so, then you can make from there.
