Libyan CDC @NcdcLy team at Tripoli community health centre is demanding that the Presidential Council does not interfere with CDC and their work. Accuses them for trying to create a body that is parallel to CDC. CDC already struggling and needs to be helped not obstructed

Rejects any interference into CDCs work by other bodies (MoH in #Tripoli, Presidential Council, agencies).

Worth to note that the CDC is working in all parts of Libya and politicazion of its work is very harmful.

This 'hirak' of CDC comes after a meeting among CDC teams on increasing government ( #Tripoli based) pressure, both from Ministry of health and presidential council.

The presidential council in #Tripoli has plans on creating another body that would interfere with CDC and jeopardize the already fragile epidemiological work in #Libya.

Worst case scenario is regional, politicized blackmailing with a hijacked CDC as well as funneling of funds.

Yesterday CDC criticized government in #Tripoli for exertion of political pressure and notes that it is a national institution active in all parts of Libya with Eastern, Western and Southern chapters that work together. CDC rejects plans of corruption and national division.

These are major issues that big players such as @USAEmbassyLibya, @UNSMILibya , @WHOLIBYA should be looking at and supporting @NcdcLy.

Corrupted officials and mafias cannot be allowed to destroy the last bastion of public health in #Libya!
