Thread: Max Aarons player analysis and why he is the best rightback option for Bayern.

On the opening day of the 19/20 season , Liverpool faced newly promoted side Norwich, there was clear gulf in quality through out the match and Norwich eventually lost the match by four goals to one, but one Norwich player stood out....
... He was doing everything you'd want in a fullback, he was making runs, creating, linking up play and defending relatively well.against an elite left flank made up of an extremely on form Origi and Robertson.
It was clear the 20(19 then) year old right back had immense potential and he's only gone and proved that through out the season, being one of the Canaries lanterns in an extremely dark season.
One of Aarons best strengths is his ability to use space behind his opponent. His ability to pass the ball inwards then move behind the opponent to receive the ball back has been immense for Norwich this season. Like in this case
This ability although that it has been good for him and Norwich this season , it could reach new levels with Bayern, with better players around him and better movements taught to him adding to that his dribbling and pace could make him a real threat to Hansi Flick's side.
(Not mentioning that he excels in using the space between his opponents and on the outer line as well)
His 1v1 offensive skills are quite decent as well with 1.34 successful dribbles per90, Trent Alexander Arnold for instance has 0.73 p90, whilst Benjamin Pavard has 0.48 p90, his dribbling skills could enhance the team going forward and give the team a new edge while attacking.
Max Aarons likes to use his upper body (much like Davies) to take and steal the ball from his opponents, and while he may lunge into tackles unnecessarily and lose his focus from time to time his defensive ability is quite decent for a 20 year old.......
....Who's entire game revolves around going forward and contributing offensively, its clear the defensive sense and talent is there, it just needs nourishing with coaching and experience.
Max Aarons is also a very good creator, crossing the ball 73 times this season with an accuracy of 22%, TAA has a similar percentage of %23( with 600+ crosses), he also contributes to 0.6 key passes per 90 ( similar to Pavard) and has 21 chances created same as Pavard.
One thing that Aarons needs to improve is his lack of positional awareness, which many top level right backs suffer from as well. Its clear that in many times Aarons would leave too much space behind him while attacking letting the forwards straight at the cbs throat......
.....keep in mind that the quality of Norwich's centerbacks is by no means close to Bayern's, this flaw in his game could very much go unnoticed with good defensive structure and centerbacks, but we just wanted to point it out.
Also keep in mind that he is 20 years of age and has already gone against some of the best left wingers in the game, such as Sterling, Son, Pulisic and Rashford. He is proven in the best league in the world.
Also he has survived the immense pressure of expectation put on young English talent in the Premier League, which makes us almost sure he will be able to do it at Bayern mentality wise.
Overall, Aarons is an elite young right back who's excellent movement, ball skills, creativity, and reading of the game is why he is our choice for offensive right back at Bayern, he has the best base possible to start building, basically he has all the tools,.....
....they just need to more developed which we are sure he will get under the supervision of Hansi Flick. And yes he has flaws, but with time and experience and good coaching these flaws will hopefully dilute.
