Im partway through the @NewYorkStateAG fraud lawsuit against @NRA, and a few thoughts: Anyone defending what is described here is a criminal or a fool. (Trump)

This is non-profit fraud on steroids. Only person I admire in all this - Oliver North, who left NRA over corruption...
...the victims of the @NRA executive fraud, if true (but it cites LOTS of evidence) are NRA members, who have been cheated of tens of millions of their contributions because these thugs have been able to scream "they're after you're 2nd Amendment!" when they were after crooks...
...the contributions to politicians, the cover of "protect guns" was all part of a scam. It was an affinity fraud - saying, "We share this belief, now pay no attention as I pick your pocket."

If @GOP supports this, despite these massive allegations of fraud, then @NRA got...
...it's moneys' worth. It will prove the corrupt deal made between Republican politicians and the NRA - "you steal as much of your contributors' money as you want, so long as a good portion of that fraud sloshes over to us."

You don't get to commit massive fraud just because...
...you share a political belief. If this case is proven, the NRA *should* be shut down, and not because of what it stands for or advocates. What this lawsuit describes in excruciating detail - with the receipts - is a criminal enterprise, not a non-profit....
...and if the GOP wants to defend this, well they are proving once again: If your a white guy who steals millions, so long as you give a cut to GOP politicians, it's okay.

If proven, Lapierre and his cronies deserve to be in prison for a decade at least for criminal fraud.
