We need some Psycho Pass Akane appreciation, so here’s a short explanation as to why I appreciate her character
Why I appreciate akane’s character so much is because she acts as a deterrent from the overreach that the criminal justice system enacts upon in order to prevent crimes that haven’t been committed yet. Her entire character is a way in which the watcher experiences just how...
...corrupt the justice system ACTUALLY is, every mystery being unraveled is both a surprise to her and the audience, she exemplifies the audience’s soapbox so to speak. This leads to her questioning her own purpose, what was the reason for her majoring in psychology if...
...her personal sense of justice is constantly being compromised in order to punish civilians that haven’t acted upon their impulses. She is a commentary on how ignorant and naive the general public is in regards to how inhumane judiciary systems actually are.
However her personal positions constantly being curbed eventually manifests itself into her being conditioned to act on orders from the sibyl system because she believes it’s the best option available.
The sibyl system brainwashed her in a sense to upholding the law enforcement tactics that it relies on, showing how susceptible individuals are when it comes to working under a corrupt system it speaks to the idea of changing the system from within
Anyways, stan Akane Tsunemori
