Let's be honest, most kdrama addicts watched this because of Park Seo Joon. I mean, c'mon stop denying it.
But for sure, at the end of the kdrama, we fell hard for Siwon's character, Reporter Kim. We all enjoyed his goofiness and bubbly personality, that's why we all know he deserved MUCH BETTER.
REASON 1: Despite Hye-Jin losing confidence in her looks, Kim Shin-Hyuk (Siwon's character) saw her beauty right from the start.
REASON 2: Whenever Hye-jin was treated like a trash by Sung-Joon (PSJ's character), he was always there to cheer her up. It didn't matter to him whether he looked so weird and random. For him what matters the most is to see her smile and happy.
REASON 3: When he knew about the difficult circumstance that Hye-jin was facing, he tried to keep it to himself, telling himself he shouldn't get involved. BUT DAMN, HE JUST CAN'T STOP HIMSELF, HE FELL FOR HER.

REASON 4: Despite him getting rejected so many times, he still stayed in hopes she would someday choose him.

REASON 5: Despite all those rejections, he didn't give up. HE DIDN'T JUST GIVE UP SO EASILY.
REASON 6: He always made up excuses to hang out with her to help cheer her up and he made sure he go do lengths just to let her feel that she has him, no matter what.
REASON 7: Remember when he drove and injured himself just to get to her when he was so worried she wouldn't pick up her phone? HE WAS JUST A MINUTE TOO LATE
REASON 8: When we're in the dark and can't seem to see our own worth, somebody sees it, the way he saw through her.
REASON 9: He knew where he stood. He was always asking her if she could just give him a chance.

REASON 10: Despite all his efforts, he still thanked her just for hesitating in choosing between him and PSJ. Even though he knew from the start it was a hopeless case, he still didn't give up. But, he also knew when it is time to finally give up the fight.
REASON 11: He took what he could get. If it's only friendship she could give him, he took it because he can't lose her for not choosing him.

He knew where he stood in her life. He said that it would be selfish of him to ask her to think about him everyday (bc duh PSJ?), so he told her that, he hopes he remembers him every time she eats lime(?). im soft.
Their last hug tho. :(
Years after, Siwon's character wrote a book and had it dedication to her.

Just adding some of Siwon's character goofy moments. He's so adorable. 
Siwon's character deserved better. But we can't really blame Hye-jin for not choosing him because ppl really have the tendency to choose someone they love over someone who loves them. Being in an unrequited love can be both beautiful and miserable. Please know your worth. :)
