In this light, you get hysterical stories with limited to no factual basis running riot. Russian bounties became a thing despite being more or less fabricated from whole cloth. Reducing force levels in Germany is doing Putin’s bidding.

Meanwhile, we just advanced America’s armed footprint in Europe several hundred miles east towards Moscow. We’re putting a huge vote of confidence in Poland as a bulwark against Russian aggression on the continent.

Whether this is wise or not is up for debate to be sure. That would be a profitable debate for the ostensible tv experts. But because they don’t actually know anything, this will get ignored and the Russia Stooge nonsense will continue.
