Injuries hindered Tierney a lot last season, only making 15 appearances in the prem. However, once he was fit again and Arteta was in charge Tierney started to shine.
Arteta has been changing formations but towards the end of the season stuck with attacking full backs, allowing Tierney to get further up the field. In Arsenal’s last prem game (3-2), Tierney picked up a goal and an assist. He racked up 37 points in the 9 games after lockdown.
Not only has Tierney shown he is a good attacking full back but he performed well against the likes of Salah, Mahrez and Traore which shows promise for possible defending BP next season.
This man at the price of £5.0/.5m could be a bargain and with the likes of TAA being overpriced he’s the new FPL defender must have.
