While I appreciate religious sentiments, am not very religious simply because to me, cleanliness in heart and in deeds is what makes a person. Godliness follows this cleanliness. Ramayana, Mahabharatha and other religious scriptures give us the codes, directions for life.
Our value systems are such that we grow up living in alignment with nature and environment. To achieve piece of mind, we do go Temple and so did I. One can say, I was a moderate. All that started changing when the convoluted definition of secularism began to be applied.
That one statement was the tipping point for me. And when @narendramodi_in was hounded by Sonia Gandhi legally and in other ways as epithets were hurled at him, I started pulling my weight in the direction of NaMo. I have seen in very close quarters, Guj. riots, excluding 2002.
And then the supporting cast consisting the who's who of corruption Lalu, Mulayam all conspired with Owaisi to trivialize Hindus. And then came the nail on the coffin, from Digvijay Singh, Sushil Shinde, PC and the elite company, who created the Hindu Terror bogey.
One can fool someone for all time; some people for some time but not all the people for the all the time. It was a matter of time for things to start falling apart. Am no clairvoyant but I believe we have come to the tipping point in the history of India.
@NAN_DINI_ @vijayadar, the very erudite writers, have written multiple times on this aspect of India - "The Silent Majority" and "The Power of One" - Indeed, India has had multiple tryst with destiny and I guess the latest one that we witnessed on August 5th, is a historic one.
It has given hopes, raised the aspiration levels of people that if the silent majority works to the power of one, it can achieve stunning results. I still am the same person, except that I have moved a bit more right, on account of...
many writers on SM who gave persuasive logic, arguments and facts on many things that I was not aware. Their writings made an impact. A process of self discovery had begun. And it continues.
As our great nation moves on from here, one thing is very clear. As we evolve, and true to our history, we are not going to destroy anything: we will regain what was ours and there is nothing wrong in that.
What, in my view could happen is that the churning process could be evolutionary; but the end product - the New India - will be revolutionary.
And in the meantime, the message to whiners, internal enemies is loud and clear: Love the country that you live in or go to the country that you love. Don't keep whining.
