Anyone who actually lives with #ChronicPain hasn't heard anything new here. We are well used to doctors trying to get us off painkillers, suggesting the pain is psychological, and basically just leaving us to figure out how to live with pain on our own.

I was told for years there was no physical cause for my chronic pelvic pain. Once, when I was hospitalised with the pain, a surgeon suggested I didn't need tests, I needed a psychiatrist.
A specialist told me on the way to theatre he wouldn't find anything.
I was eventually diagnosed with stage 4 #endometriosis after 11 years of pain. The damage done to my body has left me with lifelong issues, I will live with #ChronicPain for the rest of my life.
I take painkillers everyday as part of a wide range of treatments.
I was able to reduce my painkiller dosage thanks to regular hospital treatments but waiting list problems in NI mean that these treatments are now few and far between. Painkillers allow me to have some quality of life.
