Japan was not going to surrender from a blockade. They had blockaded themselves for 200 years and were perfectly happy. They’d have happily locked themselves in until the blockade ended and then invaded a neighboring country again.

Nagasaki had nothing to do with the Soviet invasion.
Soviet invasion may have explained why Japan surrendered to the US though. Because nobody wanted to surrender to the Soviets. They knew what happened to people who did.
