Earlier tonight I upgraded my @MaxFunHQ membership from $10/mo to $50/mo. It's been a hard year for lots of people. I consider myself lucky to have had folks like @JesseThorn @JustinMcElroy @travismcelroy @griffinmcelroy to help me out when it's been my turn to face the hard. 1/4
Over the years, the McElboys have been an endless source of enjoyment. MBMBaM brought me closer to my own brother. TAZ got me back into DnD. I now DM a game with my best friends from around the US. That biweekly game has been my emotional ballast over these last few months. 2/4
I fell in love w/ Bullseye before I knew Jesse was behind MaxFun. That shows helped me become a better listener. I love JJHO because of him and his radiant personality, in good times bad. I have genuinely laughed and grieved alongside him a lot in 2020. 3/5
I've listened along as they've started new projects, moved on from old ones, tried new cool things, and failed a few times. I've seen them welcome children & say goodbye to parents. I'm about to become a dad myself and know their advice - the good & bad will come in handy. 4/5
I choose to give these people a not insignificant amount of money every month because what they do is important and meaningful to many people, myself included. This is not content, this is connection. And I don't want @DocCurm to have to un-retire. Thank you, Max Fun. 5/5
