You know what? Here's a whole thread of ideas for getting heat without hurting anyone:

- Insistently pronounce "gif" as "jif"

- Deliberately avoid eye contact with the camera or who you're talking to/hearing from

- Tawk wike dis uwu

- Start most sentences with "As a gamer..." https://twitter.com/OtarOddball/status/1291104061354397697
- Say well-known catchphrases/quotes in your promos as if they're original material

- Act like you've never heard of any animal before & insist they're made up

- Start every promo with "WHAT'S UP EVERYONE it's ya boi [name] here" & end them with "Be sure to like and subscribe!"
- Check your phone while other wrestlers are cutting promos on you

- Randomly go "Anyone else remember [nostalgic thing]?" and then describe it 100% incorrectly while claiming to be its #1 fan

- Say "LOL" and other terms people don't actually use outside of texts/the internet
If your excuse for saying seriously-not-okay things is some complaint about it being "too hard" to get heat, I will laugh at you. It doesn't actually take much to tease and push buttons without doing harm, I could go on with this thread forever if I wanted to. 😶
1 month later I am back to add, from personal experience: genuinely not having seen many movies and simply stating you have never seen such beloved movies as the Princess Bride and Jurassic Park.
- If you are/look relatively young: "Remember [memorable thing]? That was [number of years ago that was] years ago! I was [young age]! You were probably [older age]!"

- In the middle of cutting a promo, suddenly yet casually finish the rest of it exclusively in Pig Latin
- Shuffle out from curtain, awkwardly glancing around. Get into empty ring. Stare directly ahead @ crowd. Slowly put mic up to mouth. Then (loudly): "Yeah I'll have uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (squint) [name of common food, pronounced very incorrectly]" and just keep ordering until stopped
-Manager: your cell phone rings in the middle of a match involving your client(s). It is obnoxiously loud and very clearly yours. You look around disgustedly trying to figure out whose phone is going off until your client(s) can take advantage of it all.
- Refer to anime as "cartoons"
- Refer to western cartoons as "anime"
- Refer to manga as "comics"
- Refer to graphic novels as "comic books"
- Refer to newspaper comics as "the funnies"
- Refer to anything as "the funnies"
- Go "you missed a spot" at ring crew, constantly
