exclusionism vs inclusionism isn’t a solid gradient and they aren’t a strict dichotomy. it’s okay to have opinions regarding discourse, as long as u aren’t feeding into separatist ideologies or completely dismissing other people’s experiences. respect & empathy is key.
just...be mindful about *why* you think the things you do. lesbians are extra vulnerable to having the genuine alienation we feel in the community USED by bigots in order to isolate & influence us. it’s scary because lesbians are just pawns to them. they’ve tried to do it to me.
this means we need to fight the same intracommunity lesbophobia that bigots prey on. lesbians DO end up being the scapegoat for a lot of issues and that’s unfair. lesbians deserve a voice too, and when we’re silenced, bigots swoop in to feign empathy in attempt to manipulate us.
basically, if you find yourself antagonizing other lgbtq+ people for the oppression we collectively face (example: blaming transphobia on people who use neopronouns) then just reflect & learn. cishet people will hate us regardless, so we NEED to have solidarity with each other.
