Bro I've been in twitter circles with a huge population of lgbt teens long enough to see how terf/radfem rhetoric spreads. So lemme try and spell it out.

It usually starts out with man-hating, which seems *pretty* reasonable on its own. I hate men, men are the oppressors, etc.

Fair, right? But here's the rest of radfem rhetoric that's often spread on social media. It's never usually stated like this, usually implied so you won't realize the message behind it. Which brings us to the next step: Gatekeeping.

It starts off with gatekeeping "nonsense" identities- the low-hanging fruit, for a lack of better terms. People will take something like "bi lesbian" or "beegender" that's easy for teens to attack, because "that makes no sense! you're harming the rest of us!"

And then it moves onto ace exclusionism, which usually starts with "wtf is a demisexual? stop inventing a label for people who don't do hookups." And quickly moves onto "cishet aces aren't LGBT". But that's not all.

Anti-kink/Anti-porn. It starts with saying certain kinks involving grown consenting adults are "harmful/pedophilia", and sex workers are "catering to pedos". And then it's "porn is harmful and rots the brain" -- which I have seen coming directly from a teen HAIKYUU stan.

And the implication that women cannot ever choose to do sex work without being forced-- that's terf rhetoric 1000%.

Also, an interesting fact that's relevant to fandomgoers: terfs invented anti-fujoshi. They used fujoshi as a slur against trans men who liked BL.

Fujoshi-bullshit was an antifujo blog on tumblr, Mod M admitted that they're homophobic and don't give a fuck about gay men. Also: "men cannot feel love" - RADFEM.

This isnt very prominent in anime fandom, but examples of more radfem rhetoric:

"he/him and nonbinary lesbians don't exist"
"you need dysphoria to be trans"
"made-up genders are ruining the community"
"pansexuals are harmful"
"queer is a slur and can't be reclaimed"

radfems recruit lesbians on twitter and tumblr by telling them "you're the victim, trans/bi/ace people are at fault" until they adopt so many radfem views that they're spreading actively harmful shit, like "I don't want a mlm/wlw solidarity post, ew gay men".
