Some people have said that The Timeless Children made the Doctor a God, but nothing could be further from the truth. Here’s a thread explaining why...
The basic concept of a God is the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being. The Timeless Child was found by a boundary, taken to Gallifrey, died and came back to life, then was experimented on so the Shobogans could evolve.
That pretty much contradicts the definition of a God. The ability of regeneration being the Doctor’s ability, does not make them into a God. Yes she has more significance to her, but that is not what shapes her character, it’s what she does in her life and how she grows.
The child likely came from a race that had the ability of regeneration that she had, so we isn’t a God, just a normal child who was separated from her race, adopted then used when they found out she had a unique ability.
You have to remember the experimentations on the child was hidden and covered up with a creation myth so they appeared powerful. Tecteun, Rassilon and Omega are more like Gods than the Doctor.
As for the Doctor being special, she’s always been unique one way or another. Like Luke, him being the archetype and created by the Bane is not what made him, it’s what he did in life that made him, it’s the same with the Doctor.
The Doc being the Timeless Child does not make her who she is, she can’t help having a natural survival mechanism, its part of her biology, it’s what she does in her life that makes her who she is. It’s Tecteun’s fault that the Doc became the genetic founder of the Time Lords.
Eg. Special. The Doctor did not choose to evolve the Shobogan race. She was the means by which Tecteun could have they’re biology upgraded. So the Doctor isn’t a God, and her being the Timeless Child does not make her special in the way people define special.
The Doctor isn’t like Davros, or the creators of the Cybermen, as they all created those races themselves, with their free will, whereas the Doctor didn’t do that.
For example, just because I have Autism, which is a special ability, doesn’t mean I’m more important or special than other people, I’m just different with a unique ability not a lot of people have.
