Any of you that know me also know I’m a massive fan of @MCRMetrolink - it’s a great service, frequent trams, well maintained with staff who are friendly and helpful and keep customers safe 1/4
They have been superb airing the COVID-19 crisis, emphausis on safety with clear advice on hand hygiene, distancing and more recently a big push on face coverings. Today they suppased themselves. 2/4
I’d worked late on Thursday (giving a lecture via MS Teams) so left Crumpsall about 8pm ish, and was working on another lecture on my home MacBook , got off at Altrincham, unfolded by bike, snapped on my briefcase and peddled off.

Didn’t realise till the next morning when I went to get my laptop out of

- not there! Rang @drrebeccaleon not left at home so realised what I must have done. Sent a DM to @MCRMetrolink who replied with a number - I rang and they couldn’t have been more helpful

But no Laptop, they said they’d speak to the other depots and contact me if it turned up.
3hrs later I got a text saying call us, rang and a driver had found it and handed it in. So caught the to the Old Trafford depot and the lovely staff handed it back. Nothing short of a miracle - I am eternally grateful! Thank you @MCRMetrolink!
