Museums have been really stepping up to provide fun, educational activities while their physical locations have been closed! Here are some Ontario museums that have been blowing us away with their great lockdown content:
@agotoronto has been inspiring us with their Shape of the Museum discussions focusing on issues of diversity, inclusion, and opportunity in the arts. For kids, they have been running incredible free arts activities, continuing through the summer!

@MuseumsBurlON has organized virtual museum visits every week for kids to learn about different fun historical subjects and do a craft!

@nfmuseums has collaborated with the
Landscape Of Nations to create a stunning digital exhibit on Niagara’s Indigenous Legacy. The high quality of the photos allows us an ability to look at delicate, rare artifacts in close detail.

@heritagetoronto has been working hard to transfer the experience of their tour programs to a digital format! They are offering digital tours and story maps on their website, and they are doing live streamed tours on their Facebook page.

@ROMtoronto has produced digital talks and take home activities, but we are particularly loving their great video output! Their “ROM experts & objects” video series provide deep dives into artifacts in the ROM collections. https://www.rom.on.ca/en/rom-at-home/experts-objects/a-mystery-solved
