Ever been in an interview and the recruiter asks you...
“What’s your salary expectation?”

But you don’t know what to say...

It’s more than ok to ask...
“What is the salary band for this role?”

How does this help you?...

1. It takes the pressure off of you for a bit.
2. It gives you some room to maneuver.
3. Depending on the studios HQ location they are legally obligated to tell you the this info.

But what if they asked me about my salary history?
Careful how you answer
This can potentially be used against you to artificially lower the salary they offer you. It happens.
Remember that band of $100K?
If you put I make $40k then the company will know an offer...

Of $80k is double your current salary and save them lots of money.
Also you just left money on the table without even knowing it.
There salary numbers used were hypothetical and for argument sake to try to illustrate points. CYA social media 2020.
Hope this helps you <3
