🇸🇪Swedish state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell again: We should not compare Sweden to our neighbors but to the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Let's compare Sweden both to countries we are not allowed and allowed to compare with!
1/
Testing
Mitigation target
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway and UK test enough
Sweden should test 4x‼️ more, 315 instead of 84

Suppression target
Denmark, Finland, Norway test enough
Belgium, Netherlands and UK should test 2x more
Sweden 14 ‼️x more, 1,156 not 84

🇸🇪To implement the strategy to get everyone infected, spread the virus but make other countries to open borders Sweden
1. Changed the way reporting: reports the number of samples tested instead of people tested - it looks better.
👇Comparison with Poland who reports both.
3/
🇸🇪 Chart showing that despite of decreasing tests in Sweden and probably increasing spread the new way of reporting from July 6 makes the chart look better, even if still one of the lowest testing rates per new confirmed case in the world.

🇸🇪2. Decreased testing.
Tests were increasing until week 28 (July 6-12), FHM/PHA informed the public that it's increasing and then tests started to decrease and no one noticed as Swedish media have FHM's press conference as the only source of information and don't check facts.
5/
🇸🇪3. Implemented strategic testing.
For suppression or mitigation one should test more in regions with the highest spread. If you want to hide the spread you test more in regions with low spread which gives better numbers - lower spread.

COVID-19 death rate, closed cases:

World 6%
Norway 3%
Denmark 5%
Finland 5%
Belgium 36%
Sweden 41%‼️

The UK and the Netherlands no data

🇸🇪Death toll is high because people are denied health care
~5% require ICU (🌍average)
40 at ICU now = 0,06% of 66,064 of active cases
10% require hospitalization
269 at hospital now = 0,4% of active cases

The focus has been on confirmed cases and deaths, but after 4 months in 🇸🇪
680,000 sick now
1,125,000 adults think they are/have been infected
⚠️260 000 sick >10 weeks
How many
will recover/die?
with long-term symptoms, permanent damages?
children?
after 1 year?
We have no idea🆘
Sweden could suppress the virus within few weeks. If they wanted. To get everyone infected leads to a humanitarian and economic catastrophe. The authorities claim that other countries will have the same death toll. There is in NO indication of that.

Journalist: If not lockdown, what can flatten the curve?
Giesecke 🇸🇪: One is immunity. The other is when people who are frail and old will die first and when that group of people will thin out you will get less👉9:10 min.

5,743 killed, keep killing
