If this turns out to be correct, won't that reduce his suicide to most banal?
Not hero of a Greek Tragedy. Not the poster-child victim of entrenched Bollywood nepotism? Not the cause celebre for other Bollywood divas? Not worthy of heated political debates on twitter for weeks?
Of course, depression and suicide often have multiple reasons. But I thought the brouhaha over his death was a bit too much. It was being turned into a cause. It was being used to grind axes of personal grudges.
Why the fuck does everything have to be turned into a reason for pitched political battles?

An actor, one among thousands, died. He should have been given a dignified, silent cremation. That's all.
Just like the "data-driven empathy" concept that I keep touting, I think we also need "data-driven outrage".
