3. Many reasons this is even more of an affront to our system of government:
Reason 1: House Foreign Affairs Committee has DIRECT oversight of State Dept. Yet Pompeo appears to have forced HFAC to point of issuing a subpoena. Meanwhile he's voluntarily sharing with Senate GOP.

I'm old enough to remember when the administration rejected House requests for Ukraine docs on theory that Congress had no valid "legislative purpose" (eg reforming statutes).
As @nycsouthpaw has observed, Ron Johnson's Biden probe has NADA legislative purpose.

5. Let me put an exclamation point on news of Pompeo and other State Department officials' reported coop with Senate Republicans and not House Dems…
