It's not a coincidence that public schools and universities cater to the way women learn. Women take on thousands and thousands of dollars of debt during their 18-20s years. Then begin marriage with that debt. Get career to pay off debt...
... decide they want kids. Realize they can't afford to stay home, ship them off to daycare. Convince yourself you're still working because you love your career, not because you have to because of your crushing debt. Government brainwashes your kids. Rinse and repeat.
This is obviously extremely simplified (and only addressing women, because I am one) but the fact that the general populace does not question it is quite frankly, terrifying.
