Leadership matters.

When we talk about political choices, it's important to remember that it was the choice to invest in the economy *through the people* that kept us from tanking. https://twitter.com/reutersLjungg/status/1289185018892279809
When you're evaluating the whole business with *WE*, keep in mind it exists as an issue because the government was trying to get money into the hands of young Canadians.

Whether you thought that was a good way to do it or not shouldn't overshadow what the alternative would be.
A conservative government would have handled this pandemic closer to the American model. They would have tried to force the people to kick-start the economy in a different way - by making people go back into it too soon, by believing that helping folks was sponsoring laziness.
This isn't hyperbole, this is a truth based on history and what they actually said and did during the pandemic.

Not because they're evil, but because that's the worldview they have. That's the truth their words and deeds lay out.
The parties in Canada aren't interchangeable. They all stand for different things, have different worldviews, attack problems in different ways.

Before you declare yourself "switching" consider that you're not switching among like things and your choice will have a consequence.
To you and millions of other Canadians.
P.S.

Here's a conservative leadership candidate verifying. Business, he believes, should have gotten the money first.

America did it that way.

Canada invested in people.

Which type of country do you want to live in? Because that's the choice. https://twitter.com/gtlem/status/1259548568572039168?s=19
