Feminists in the Green Party are mounting a campaign to restore the confidence of women, lost in recent years over incidents such as its terrible handling of the David and Aimee Challenor affair and embarrassment over women being called 'non-men'.
Under the slogan #welcomebackwomen they are backing candidates in next month's leadership elections who will stand up for women - and a sex-based understanding of the challenges, discrimination and harm life brings to half the world's population.
